Celebrate the new arrival of a baby or child to your family.
The birth or adoption of a new baby or child can be recognised with a naming ceremony, offering parents the chance to mark this special moment, in exactly the way they wish.
Family unification, or welcome ceremonies, are also a fantastic way for blended families to mark their new journey together, and the age of your child is not a restriction.

Whether they take place outside in a park, or are a small intimate event in the back garden, these ceremonies are a lovely way to give thanks and create treasured memories.
The ceremonies can incorporate music, readings, protection and guidance promises, and can include the use of a symbolic ritual such as planting a tree or the lighting of candles. They can be bright, warm, joyous occasions that offer a sense of unity for the children and the adults.
They can be a perfect way to acknowledge any chosen guardians, ‘guide-parents’, ‘odd-parents’ (!) etc, too.
Bespoke ceremony enables religious/non-religious elements
As an independent celebrant I am happy to incorporate religious elements into the ceremony as well. So, if you are looking for something more personal than a traditional Christening, but would like a hymn or prayer included, then this may be a great alternative for you.
Grand-parents, siblings and even pets can feature in these ceremonies, and rightly so. After-all, as the traditional African proverb says ‘It takes a whole village to raise a child’!
